Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' maintenance/engineering experience.
  • Strong electrical skills: AC/DC systems, inverters, PLCs.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

  • Attend breakdowns and deliver effective reactive maintenance.
  • Carry out planned maintenance and condition-based monitoring.
  • Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Maintenance Engineer -

Location: Wigan

Salary: £47,906 base salary

£53,985 (including shift allowance) + Overtime

Hours: Monday-Friday, 3-Shift Rotation

Shift Pattern
  • Monday-Thursday: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am
  • Friday: 6am-12pm / 12pm-6pm / 6pm-12am
What you'll be doing
  • Attending breakdowns and delivering effective reactive maintenance
  • Carrying out planned maintenance (PM) and condition‑based monitoring (CBM)
  • Analysing equipment performance and recommending improvements
  • Managing spare parts and supporting operations teams
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
What we're looking for
  • Minimum 2 years' maintenance / engineering experience
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (HNC in Electrical Engineering beneficial)
  • Strong electrical skills: AC / DC systems, inverters, PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred)
  • Excellent fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
