A leading manufacturing business in Wigan is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer. You will respond to breakdowns, perform planned maintenance, and ensure safety and environmental standards. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years' experience and skills in AC/DC equipment and PLCs. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a maintenance or engineering role.
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent, HNC in Electrical Engineering desirable.
  • Experience with AC/DC equipment, inverters, and PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred).
  • Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible and ready to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance.
  • Perform planned maintenance and condition-based monitoring.
  • Analyse plant performance and recommend improvements.
  • Manage spare parts and coordinate with the operations team.
  • Maintain safety, health, and environmental standards.

Your Shift Pattern
  • Monday-Thursday: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am

  • Friday: 6am-12pm / 12pm-6pm / 6pm-12am

What you'll be doing
  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance

  • Perform planned maintenance (PM) and condition-based monitoring (CBM)

  • Analyse plant performance and recommend improvements

  • Manage spare parts and coordinate with the operations team
