Overview

Electrical Maintenance Engineer — Location: Westbury, Wiltshire. Salary: £43,500 per year. Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Shift pattern: Week 1: Mon-Thu 6:00am-2:00pm, Fri 6:00am-11:30am; Week 2: Mon-Thu 2:00pm-10:00pm, Fri 11:30am-5:00pm; Week 3: Mon-Thu 10:00pm-6:00am, Fri 5:00pm-10:30pm.

We are seeking an experienced or developing Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a modern FMCG manufacturing facility in Westbury, Wiltshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-established, reputable company with a friendly and supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and carry out repairs to minimise production downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Perform scheduled inspections and servicing on production machinery to ensure reliability and compliance with manufacturing targets.
  • Equipment Support: Assist with the installation, upgrade, and modification of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and support initiatives to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Person Specification
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong electrical focus, with experience diagnosing faults in machinery, control systems, or electrical installations.
  • Proactive, hands-on problem-solving approach.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • Motivated to develop a long-term career in maintenance engineering.
