Compensation and Benefits
  • £43,680 Per Annum + Weekly Production Bonus (depending on the businesses performance)
  • 4 on 4 off 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM

The Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
  • Investigate faults and work with electrical and mechanical systems (such as Siemens S7)
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and root-cause analysis for fault-finding on machinery
  • Attend and diagnose machine breakdowns, including mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatics failures in an efficient manner
  • Utilise a range of tools and engineering techniques to repair and maintain machinery to operational standards
  • Ensure all maintenance issues are logged into the relevant systems accurately and promptly
  • Maintain high levels of compliance with health and safety standards whilst performing duties
  • Play a pivotal role in maintenance engineering projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Regularly liaise with maintenance, production and quality departments regarding maintenance issues
  • Service and maintain various other plant equipment, examples being: water heaters, pumps, etc.
  • Adhere to planned maintenance schedules and effectively manage machine breakdowns
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must have previous fault-finding experience, ideally relating to Siemens PLC run machinery- ESSENTIAL
  • Must hold a qualification in Electrical Engineering (such as City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3, and 17th or 18th Edition)- ESSENTIAL
  • The ability to design and manufacture basic electrical control panels
  • Good understanding of PLC systems, and the ability to use associated tools for interrogation of the software
  • An in-depth understanding of mechanical systems
  • Ability to understand engineering and electrical drawings
  • Competent in Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, and Project
  • Knowledge of working with AC & DC CCT’s, single & 3 phase systems and inverter drives
