A global manufacturer of industrial materials is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support plant maintenance and improvement projects at their Leeds production facility. The role involves hands-on diagnostics and working with electrical systems, control panels, and automation. Qualifications

  • Experience as an Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Controls Engineer or similar.
  • Strong understanding of control panels, PLCs, motors, VFDs, and 3-phase and single-phase systems.
  • Apprentice trained with HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve faults on manufacturing plant and equipment.
  • Assist with R&D projects to improve or re-engineer production processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and site development activities.
  • Perform hands-on installation, assembly, and upgrade of electrical systems.
  • Support both electrical and basic mechanical maintenance tasks.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Control Systems Engineer required to join a global manufacturer of industrial materials and components at their Leeds production facility.

The successful Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting plant maintenance, diagnostics, and improvement projects, with a focus on electrical systems, control panels, and automation. This is a hands‑on engineering role offering long‑term development in a high‑tech, process‑driven manufacturing environment.

You’ll have a broad background in electrical engineering with experience in control systems, 3‑phase power, VFDs, and PLC‑based systems. Knowledge of high‑temperature processes or heavy industry would be advantageous.

Package
  • £43,000 depending on experience
  • Based in Leeds
  • Day shifts, Monday to Friday
  • Call‑out rota (shared across the engineering team)
