Proactive Personnel Ltd in Telford is seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer on a days shift. The role offers a competitive salary and overtime, with a strong emphasis on electrical/electronic fault diagnosis and continuous improvement within a large manufacturing environment.

You will join a diverse engineering team, contributing to the service, repair, and upgrade of production equipment in line with FMCG standards. A day shift with long-term prospects is provided.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment is essential.
• Team player with the ability to work under pressure and generate improvement ideas.
• Open-minded to learning new techniques & technology.
• Excellent electrical fault diagnosis skills.
• PLC/Automation experience desirable but not essential.
• Time served apprenticeship in electrical discipline advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Continuous improvement of equipment and support for preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Provide day-to-day electrical and mechanical breakdown support to production, minimizing downtime.
• Generate ideas for improvement while maintaining current plant/equipment to high standards.
• Electrical fault-finding to a high level across equipment.
• Install new machinery and control panels.

Electrically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer required for a maintenance role at a large, long-standing Telford based manufacturer. Offering competitive salary, excellent overtime availability and additional earning potential. You will be joining a diverse team of engineers from various sectors and become a valued member of the engineering team on the companys day shift.

JOB OUTLINE

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will provide electrical breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment as well as the service and repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.

THE ROLE:

• Continuous improvement of equipment, supporting PPM activities to a high standard
• Provide day-to-day electrical and mechanical breakdown support for the production team, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum
• An active position in generating ideas for improvement, whilst ensuring current plant/equipment is maintained to a high standard
• Electrical fault-finding to a high level
• Installation of new machinery and control panels.

THE CANDIDATE:

• Strong Electrical Maintenance Experience within a manufacturing/production environment
• Experience in fast-paced working environment essential
• A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure.
• Open-mindedness to learn new techniques & technology.
• Excellent electrical fault diagnosis skills
• Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC, HNC desirable
• PLC/Automation experience desirable but not essential
• Time served apprenticeship in electrical discipline advantageous
