Job summary

A leading manufacturer in the UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will handle maintenance of high-speed production machinery, with a strong focus on electrical fault finding and mechanical problem-solving. Required qualifications include NVQ Level 3 and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Competitive salary of £51,000 offered.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £51,000

12hr Shifts - 4 On / 4 Off

Our client is a leading manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a large national group with multiple sites in the UK and are looking for an experienced electrical biased shift engineer to join the team

Role & Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production & packaging machinery
  • Worked on control panels, HMIs, PLC's, SCADA Systems
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs
  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Dealing with motors, VSD's, servo drives, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters
  • Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding
  • Upkeep and alteration of electrical & mechanical drawings
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Must be an electrically biased engineer
  • NVQ Level 3 electrical engineering or maintenance minimum
  • 17th Edition
  • Must have worked in some form of fast-paced / manufacturing industry
  • Strong electrical & mechanical problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of PLC's, automation & control systems, HMIs
  • Continuous improvement mentality
  • Willingness to help in all areas of the team
  • Worked on motors, inverters, VSD's, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes
