Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Essex & Hertfordshire

About the Company

Our Client is one of the leading suppliers of Reactive and Planned Maintenance Services across London and the Home Counties. Following the acquisition of several prestigious Blue Chip client contracts, they are expanding their team and seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join their mobile workforce.

The Role

As a mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for attending various commercial client sites across London and the Home Counties to carry out both reactive and planned maintenance tasks. A company van, fuel card, PDA, and other necessary equipment will be provided.

Your primary focus will be on electrical maintenance and repairs, but you may occasionally be required to attend non-electrical callouts to assess and report issues for further action by other trades.

We aim for a first‑time fix on every callout. Where this isn’t possible, you’ll be expected to gather detailed information to assist our surveyors and estimators in preparing quotations for larger works.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • City & Guilds in Electrical Installations.
  • NVQ Level 2 & 3 or equivalent.
  • AM2 Qualification.
  • City & Guilds #removed# or #removed# (Inspection & Testing).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical reactive maintenance.
  • Experience in testing electrical installations.
  • Knowledge of emergency lighting systems.
  • Strong fault‑finding skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic IT proficiency.
Desirable (Training Provided if Needed)
  • UKATA Asbestos Awareness.
  • PASMA.
  • IPAF.
  • CSCS/JIB Card.
