Overview

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Wirral

Hours: Double days Monday - Friday

Salary: Up to £45,000p/a

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our clients growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment run smoothly in both manufacturing and facilities maintenance settings. Your expertise in preventative and breakdown maintenance will be vital in keeping our assets in optimal working condition.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and implement preventative measures to avoid machinery and equipment failures.
  • Replace worn components, lubricate gears, motors, pumps, and other mechanical parts, change filters, and calibrate machine sections.
  • Perform periodic safety and quality inspections, documenting all maintenance activities meticulously within the Maintenance Management System.
  • Analyse existing procedures for efficiency, recommend improvements, and develop effective maintenance methods.
  • Respond promptly to breakdown situations to restore equipment to operational status while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Source and acquire necessary parts and components, fit and calibrate them as required, ensuring adherence to health and safety legislation.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and suppliers to enhance maintenance processes and resolve issues.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and computerised systems. Familiarity with automated conveyor systems is essential.
  • Education: An engineering qualification (18th Edition) is preferred but not mandatory.
