Job description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Glasgow, Full Time, £43,381.60 per annum. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that has seen a multi-million-pound investment. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll benefit from excellent training and development to enhance your existing skill set, working alongside a high-calibre engineering team and other talented Electrical Maintenance Engineers.

Position Details
  • Position: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
  • Shifts: 4 on / 4 off continental pattern (4 days, 4 off, then 4 nights)
  • Hours: 38 hours per week (42 including breaks)
  • Salary: £43,381.60 per annum (£21.95 per hour)
  • Holidays: 30 days
  • Pension: Matched up to 6%
  • Overtime: Paid at x1.5 / x2
  • Life Assurance: 3x salary

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, focusing on electrical systems.
  • Perform proactive and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Deliver and improve Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) routines.
  • Diagnose and fix faults quickly to restore safe operation.
  • Support installation, upgrades, and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Apply Continuous Improvement (CI) methods to boost performance and efficiency.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs and shift handovers.
  • Collaborate across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Supervise contractors during maintenance or shutdowns.
Requirements
  • Time-served engineer with recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety in industrial environments
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience using CMMS systems and basic IT tools
Desirable
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience with automation, sensors, or control systems
