Job Title: Electrical Shift Engineer

Location: City of London

Salary: £52,000 per annum + overtime

Shift Pattern: Continental Shift (Days & Nights)

We are seeking a highly professional and technically proficient Electrical Shift Engineer to join the dedicated in-house maintenance team for a landmark high-rise commercial office space in London's financial district. This is a unique opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art, corporate environment where excellence is paramount.

As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of all electrical and critical systems across this iconic building. You will be the first point of contact for any M&E issues on your shift, making this a vital role in maintaining a seamless and safe environment for our high-profile tenants.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all electrical systems in accordance with SFG20 standards.
  • Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of M&E plant.
  • Single & Three-Phase Power and Lighting Systems
  • Emergency Lighting Testing
  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and Standby Generators
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
  • Pumps, Motors, and Control Panels
  • Perform statutory testing and complete all necessary documentation and logbooks.
  • Supervise and issue permits to sub-contractors, ensuring they adhere to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Respond effectively to any breakdowns or emergencies, working calmly under pressure to restore services.
  • Maintain a professional and client-facing demeanour at all times, upholding the building's five-star reputation.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent NVQ).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
