Typical Duties
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
  • Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
  • Install switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels, etc.
  • Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads.
  • Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
  • Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.
  • Repair faulty equipment or systems.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of electrical experience
  • Able to operate a backhoe
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, plumbing and structural drawings
  • Able to lay out parking lot lighting and install pole bases
  • Ability to think critically and resolve problems
  • Can communicate and give written instruction in a professional manner
  • Comfortable with MS Office (EXCEL, Word, Outlook)
  • Thorough understanding of safety requirements and OSHA guidelines
  • Able to readand understand blueprints, sketches, labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals and written instructions accurately
  • Must be high school graduate or hold G.E.D.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
