Qualifications

  • Experience in mineral processing plant maintenance, preferably gold.
  • Current LV Rescue & CPR certification required.
  • Tickets for Working at Heights, EWP, and Confined Space are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Perform inspections and repairs to ensure facility reliability.
  • Operate under an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

Skills

Job description

Gold Fields is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our high-performing processing maintenance team. Reporting to the Coordinator: Electrical, ensuring the reliability and performance of our processing facilities. Your focus will be on preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs across electrical and instrumentation systems. Located at St Ives Gold Mine, Western Australia, this position operates on 8 days on, 6 days off 7 nights on 7 nights off roster FIFO from Perth, or residential DIDO from Kalgoorlie or Kambalda. Daily bus transport is provided for residential employees.

About You
  • WA “A” Class Electrical Workers License (mandatory) with Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation
  • Experience in mineral processing plant maintenance (gold preferred)
  • Strong understanding of SCADA/HMI systems and process technologies
  • High Voltage qualification (desirable)
  • Current LV Rescue & CPR certification
  • Working at Heights, EWP, and Confined Space tickets
  • Manual Driver’s Licence
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
