Job description

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the STA Aquatics courses from scheduling and coordinating courses to liaising with the hosting clubs and key stakeholders.
• Deal with internal and external enquiries for bookings on courses to maximise spaces available where possible.
• Deliver engaging and fun STA Aquatics courses in Swim teaching, Baby and Preschool swimming in line with awarding organisation requirements.
• Consistently support the review and development of course planning and resources.
• Play a key role in supporting Virgin Active STA approved training Centre in maintaining "low risk" and "direct Claims" status.
• Where qualified to support the wider tutor team in the tutoring and assessment of STA Lifeguard and first aid qualifications. Accredited with STA Tutor Status or equivalent with another Awarding organisation.

Qualifications

• Hold Level 3 Award in Education and training or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience in delivering the following qualifications or equivalents:
  • STA Level 2 Award in swim teaching.
  • STA Level 2 Certificate in swim teaching.
  • STA Level 2 Award in aquatic teaching – Baby and pre school swimming.
• Strong Communication and excellent organisational Skills.
• Being a "Team Player" and a positive representative of the learning and development team.
• We would also love you to have knowledge or experience in tutoring and assessment:
  • STA Level 2 Award in pool lifeguarding.
  • STA Level 2 Award in pool emergency responder.
  • STA level 3 Award in Emergency first aid at work.
  • STA Level 3 award in paediatric First Aid.
