An institution focused on training is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation/Maintenance Apprenticeship Trainer. This full-time role involves teaching and assessing apprentices while supporting their learning and liaising with employers. Suitable candidates will have industrial experience in electrical work, and an understanding of NVQ systems. Full time, 37 hours per week
£30,624 - £36,590 per annum
Plus St Modwen's bursary up to £1,800 per year (qualification level dependant)

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Installation/Maintenance Apprenticeship Trainer Assessor to join our professional Apprenticeship team. You will teach, assess, and support apprentices that are engaged in the new Apprenticeship Standards from levels 1 to 3. You will have a sound knowledge of current Apprenticeship Standards alongside strong communication skills at all levels, to include the ability to converse effectively with employers at all levels. You will support and facilitate apprentices learning, liaise closely with employers, management and other College departments to ensure successful outcomes for a cohort of apprentices. As part of these roles you may also be required to deliver part-time evening courses, or assess learners away from College.
Industrial and commercial experience within the electrical installation/maintenance industry is essential, along with an understanding and knowledge of NVQ systems and operations. An appropriate teaching qualification, an Assessor award, and teaching experience would be desirable but all levels of prior training will be considered. There may be opportunities for gaining further qualifications while in post as stated above.
Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
