Job summary

Job description
BMS Install Electrician

40 hour working week (overtime available)

Purpose of role:

To install building energy management systems to all current electrical regulations and company standards.

  • Comply with all internal processes & procedures. e.g. H&S, timesheets, expenses. Engineering
  • Installation of bespoke building energy management system including containment and power wiring
  • Maintain and update project plans with colleagues to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Plan resource requirements, materials and identify shortfalls at the earliest opportunity.
  • Co-ordinate ordering site/van stock with Install Team Leader to minimise financial exposure and maximise cash flow. Make use of internal stock and reduce overall stock held to a minimum
  • Preparation of site/project specific H&S documentation
Optional dependant on qualifications
  • Testing and Inspection- to ensure that all installations are tested and inspected to the latest regulations. Ensure that test sheets are developed and handed over in a timely manner.

Other duties as may be required consistent with the responsibilities of the post.

Indicative Performance Measures
  • Technical: All aspects of project installation are delivered to both Client and the company's standards. Responsible for achieving 'zero defect policy' sign off
  • Technical: Ensure compliance with the company's technical procedures and standards
  • Communication: Appropriate and timely telephone and email communication, internally and externally
  • Flexibility: Respond to urgent working requirements at short notice

Experience & Qualifications Required
  • A JIB grade of 'Electrician' or higher 2
  • 17th Edition qualified (minimum)
  • A good working knowledge of the installation of motive power, controls equipment and accessories
