Job summary
Dovetail and Slate is seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer & Course Leader to lead, deliver, and develop Level 1 to Level 3 Electrical Installation and related programmes in Berkshire. The role includes guiding learners through theory and practical workshops, and driving curriculum features for EPA readiness and progression.
The successful candidate will have Level 3 Electrical Installation qualifications, 18th Edition, and ideally a teaching qualification, with experience in FE or
Qualifications
- Essential Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation and 18th Edition BS 7671.
- Desirable: PGCE/DET/AET or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in FE teaching or course leadership is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act as Course Leader for Electrical Installation cohorts, managing course administration, learner retention, and achievement rates.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality practical workshop sessions and classroom theory in line with awarding body standards.
- Support learners through portfolio development, progress reviews, and End-Point Assessment (EPA) / AM2 preparation.
- Embed 18th Edition wiring regulations, health and safety, and modern building services technology into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with local employers and industry partners to enhance work placement opportunities and learner progression.
