Electrical Installation Assessor

Location: Birmingham

Contract: Temporary - 6 Months

Hours: 2 Days per Week (Flexible Days)

Start: ASAP

A leading Further Education college in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Assessor to support the delivery and assessment of apprentices both on campus and in the workplace. This is a part-time, 6-month temporary contract, offering flexibility on which two days per week are worked.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess Electrical Installation apprentices in the workplace and at college
  • Conduct observations, professional discussions, and portfolio assessments
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate assessment records in line with awarding body requirements
  • Work closely with teaching teams, employers, and learners to support achievement
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation
  • Assessors Award (TAQA, A1, or D32/33) - essential
  • 18th Edition qualification - desirable
  • Experience assessing electrical apprentices in FE or work-based learning
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and competency-based assessment
  • Enhanced DBS
