Job summary

Quartzelec in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a motivated Electrical Installation Apprentice to join their Electrical Contracting team. This position offers hands-on experience while pursuing your Installation & Maintenance Electrician Level 3 qualification over a 4-year programme.

The apprentice will work across the Water Industry in East Anglia, gaining practical skills and knowledge essential for a successful career as an electrician. The role requires GCSEs including Mathematics and Science, as well as a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across various environments.
• Prepare and install wiring systems and electro-technical equipment.
• Work with systems including motors, switchboards, cables, lighting, heating, and renewable technologies.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of fire and security alarm systems.
• Apply electrical principles to practical design and installation work.

Skills

GCSEs at Level 5 including Mathematics and Science

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Education

Installation & Maintenance Electrician Level 3 qualification

SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations

BS 7671 Electrical Installations certification
