World Class Defence Organisation in Bolton requires an Electrical Inspector on a 12-month contract. The role focuses on inspecting the work of others, certifying products, and ensuring compliance with processes and documentation. Onsite work with standard day hours and a view to long-term engagement.

Rate starts at £29.02 per hour, rising to £30.38 after 12 weeks; 37 hours per week. IR35 status is Inside IR35 (Umbrella). Overtime paid at time and a half where applicable.

Formación

• Experience inspecting the work of others is essential.
• Formal technical apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC is required.
• IPC 610 & IPC 620 certification or training preferred.

World Class Defence Organisation based in Bolton is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Inspector Subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract.

Experience with inspecting the work of other people is essential – inspecting own work is not suitable.

Job Title: Electrical Inspector

Rate: £29.02 rising to £30.38 after 12 weeks

Location: Bolton

Hybrid / Remote working: Onsite. Standard Days, not shift work

Contract: 37 Hours per week

Overtime: Hours worked over 37 hours per week are paid at 'time and a half'

Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)

IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

Electrical Inspector Job Description

• Responsible for all elements necessary to achieve and maintain the quality of deliverable hardware.
• Certification of product in line with processes and procedures.
• Examining for correct assembly including verifying all forms of electrical connections.
• Examining the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces etc.
• Inspect for physical damage.
• Intermediate inspection checks for non-Product Certification activities.
• Monitoring of operators within the Product Certification Scheme.
• Check, complete and certify all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
• Control of non-conforming items.
• Raise and maintain relevant data records/non-conformance reports.
• Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation/history sheets.
• Care for and use specialised inspection tools.
• Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
• Ensure inspection times are met.CY
• Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
• Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality.
• Willing to contribute to an environment of process improvement.
• Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21or HNC.
• Several years, experience as a skilled person.
• IPC 610 & IPC 620 certified / trained preferred. Manual handling training. ESD Training. No colour blindness.

• Vocational NVQ3 with Further Education, BTEC ONC/HNC
