Job description
Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled, qualified and motived Electrical Inspection and Testing Co-Ordinator.

As a Push the Button (PTB) Electrical Inspection and Testing Co-Ordinator, you will deliver the administration of periodic electrical Inspection & Testing for places of entertainment in the UK, this will include the co-ordination, scheduling and support of the Inspection and Testing team. You will use your excellent inspection and testing skills along with your keen attention to detail to perform initial verification and periodic inspection and testing on new and existing electrical systems and equipment. You will be required to complete the preparation, processing and creation of electrical installation certificates for new work and electrical installation condition reports for existing systems advising on any remedial works required. You will also create any other supporting documentation as and when required.

You will be a fully qualified electrical inspection and testing engineer with skills in inspection and testing of all types of electrical systems. You will carry out fixed wiring Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC) on PTB new installation work as part of our NICEIC compliance. You will carry out fixed wiring Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR's) on a wide variety of projects, to be able to identify faults with any systems and report them appropriately, along with any additional customer issues.

Working away from home on a weekly basis is required as part of the job role.

Main Duties:
  • Administration of periodic electrical Inspection & Testing.
  • Co-ordination, scheduling and support of Inspection & Testing team.
  • Preparation, processing and creation of electrical installation condition reports according to BS7671 in line with NICEIC accreditation.
  • Preparation, processing and creation of electrical installation certificates according to BS7671 in line with NICEIC accreditation.
  • Preparation, processing and creation of temporary electrical installation completion certificates according to BS7909 and other relevant industry standards.
  • Inspection and testing of electrical services and installations within commercial premises according to BS7671 for either a electrical installation conditioning report or electrical installation certificate.
  • Creation of other support documentation as and when required.
  • Comply with BS7671 standards and company standards of work performance, ensuring implementation and compliance within electrical policies and procedures.
  • Carry out electrical installation certificates (EIC) and electrical installation condition reports (EICR), fault finding, repairs and installations to the highest standard, documenting and reporting details of any observations identified.
  • Utilise PTB systems and reporting software to produce accurate inspection and testing documentation and reports.
  • A willingness to learn about maintenance of central battery inverter units for emergency lighting to BS EN 50171.
  • Operate a selection of equipment, and materials in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Report to your line manager any problems encountered on site.
  • Assist the onsite team ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Deliver quality customer service, working with our clients to build great working relationships.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained and complied with at all times.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as requested.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • City & Guilds 2396 Design & Verification of Electrical Installations
  • NVQ Level 3 Qualification in electrical installation work e.g. C&G 2330/2360
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 Initial & Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations or equivalent
  • AM2
  • City & Guilds 2382 Requirements for Electrical Installations 18th Edition or equivalent
  • JIB card, incorporating the CSCS certificate (or be in a position to obtain one)
  • Degree or undergraduate degree
  • High school diploma or GCSE in Maths and English (A* - C or 9 – 4)
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Hold a valid Passport and proof of right to work in the UK
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
  • MEWP Safety Training Card, IPAF 3a, 3b
  • SSSTS
  • First Aid Certification
  • Asbestos awareness training certificate
  • City & Guilds Assured Programme in The application of BS7909 to Temporary Power Systems
