Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Improver to undertake installation and de-installation of modular units across customer sites in Livingston. You will supervise lifting operations and ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with RAMS, SSOW, and site procedures.

When installation isn't scheduled, you will support maintenance tasks or assist in the service centre. The role reports to the Installation Manager and collaborates with Project Managers to deliver projects on

Qualifications

• CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card (NVQ Level 2 minimum) required.
• Slinger/Signaller qualification required.
• ECS, IPAF and/or PASMA certification required.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Lift Supervisor qualification desirable; training available.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Basic IT skills and willingness to use handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Install and de-install modular units and equipment at customer sites.
• Supervise lifting operations and ensure safety and compliance.
• Complete handovers and obtain customer sign-off on installations.
• Carry out quality checks and ensure work meets standards.
• Record progress using handheld devices and complete documentation.
• Maintain tool and equipment stock and care for assets.

Electrical Improver

Livingston

Temporary - Long term ongoing work

We are seeking an experienced Installation Technician to undertake the installation and de-installation of modular units and associated equipment across customer sites. The successful candidate will also supervise and coordinate lifting operations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with relevant regulations and standards.

Reporting to the Installation Manager and supporting Project Managers throughout project delivery, you will play a key role in ensuring successful project completion and customer satisfaction. When installation work is not scheduled, you will support maintenance activities or assist within the service centre.

Health, Safety & Environmental

• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Report incidents, hazards, and environmental issues promptly.
• Participate in safety observations, site inspections, and risk reduction activities.
• Promote a positive safety culture across all projects.

Installation & De-Installation

• Install and remove modular units and associated equipment on customer sites.
• Work in accordance with RAMS, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), SOPs, and site-specific procedures.
• Deliver projects in line with agreed plans and project requirements.
• Complete customer handovers and obtain sign-off on completed installations.Assess units before collection, recording any damage and obtaining customer confirmation.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure all work meets regulatory standards, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
• Carry out quality checks throughout installation activities.

Stock & Equipment Control

• Ensure the correct use and care of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain vehicle stock levels and report shortages when required.
• Ensure all equipment is inspected and fit for purpose.

IT & Administration

• Use handheld devices and internal systems to record work completed, update job progress, and communicate with customers.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.

Customer Service

• Represent the company professionally on customer sites.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with customers and site teams.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.

Requirements
