Job Purpose

The Electrical Foreman will oversee and coordinate electrical installation work on-site, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This role is hands‑on and supervisory, requiring strong leadership skills and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day operations, ensuring workflow efficiency.
  • Liaise with site managers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations (e.g., BS7671).
  • Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and risk assessments.
  • Order and manage materials and tools as needed.
  • Monitor work progress against project timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
Requirements

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
  • ECS/CSCS Card (Gold or equivalent).
  • Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a site supervisor or foreman in electrical installation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety practices.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification.

Desirable:

  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Experience with commercial and industrial installations.
