Job summary

UK Power Networks is seeking an Electrical Fitter to join the Network Operations team based at the West Ham office. The role is permanent and involves the full range of substation construction duties at voltages from 230V to 132kV.

You will work with the Grid/Primary and Distribution network, supervising contractors and ensuring safety culture while using IT equipment and progressing through authorised levels.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds/Electrical craft certificates or equivalent qualifications.
• Completed an approved Electrical Apprenticeship.
• ECS/EUSR cards or equivalent safety credentials.

Responsibilities

• Install and test plant, apparatus and cables for Grid, Primary and Distribution networks.
• fault location and repair of grid and distribution equipment.
• Supervise UK Power Networks contractors and ensure safety compliance.
• Use IT equipment and lead a working party with safety focus.
