Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking an Electrical Fitter with HV experience to join our substation team in Birmingham. You will install and assemble high‑voltage equipment within DNO environments, including switchgear, transformers, and control panels, and collaborate with engineers to ensure safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

• Background as a HV fitter or similar.
• Experience in DNO, solar or similar environments.
• UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install high‑voltage electrical systems, equipment, and components such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, cables, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and team members to execute projects, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient operation of HV electrical systems.
• Perform hands‑on mechanical and electrical fitting, cable installation and terminations, earthing and bonding, and support testing and commissioning activities.
