Job summary

Aligra P&E in Swindon is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Fitter to join our team. The role involves inspecting and maintaining Portable Electrical Distribution equipment to ensure safety and reliability, with a Monday–Friday schedule and early finish.

The position offers a temp-to-perm contract, a competitive salary of £35,000–£40,000 per year, and opportunities to mentor apprentices while working in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical fault diagnosis and testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of SLAs, KPIs and safe working practices.
• Competent IT skills (MS Office, Teams) and accurate paperwork completion.
• Ability to obtain SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical inspections and testing on Portable Electrical Distribution equipment.
• Produce detailed survey reports and identify repair needs.
• Perform fault finding, corrective maintenance, and equipment modifications.
• Mentor and train apprentices in best practices.
• Follow Company Health & Safety Policies, COSHH, and Risk Assessments.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30am – 4:00pm
