Electrical Fitter Power Solution's (South England)

Location: Sites across the South of England (Southampton, Reading, Portsmouth)

Were looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join a leading power infrastructure business supporting live substation projects across the South of England. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on electrical installation work, thrives in a safety critical environment, and wants to be part of a highly skilled delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a site delivery team on substation and HV infrastructure projects.
• Install, gland and terminate multicore cables, switchgear and associated equipment.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and support with RAMS documentation.
• Assist with planning and QA checks to ensure all work is completed to high standards.
• Carry out plant/tool inspections, report defects, and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and identify potential risks on site.

About You

• Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter or Electrician in power or utilities.
• Competent reading drawings, wiring schematics and interpreting technical documents.
• Confident working on live substation or HV environments (11kV132kV ideal).
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to different project sites.

Desirable Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Installation) or equivalent trade qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• PASMA, MEWP, Telehandler or Confined Space certification (advantageous).
