A leading engineering services company is seeking an Electrical Fitter based at Portsmouth Naval Base. The role involves installing and maintaining electrical equipment on Royal Navy vessels, ensuring safety and quality standards. Candidates should have a completed electrical apprenticeship and a Level 3 qualification. The position offers local rates of £20.10 per hour PAYE, with opportunities for overtime. Ideal candidates must be flexible and prepared to work in a team environment.
Location - Portsmouth Naval Base, PO1 3LS
Duration – 1 year
Hours of work: Mon – Thurs 0730 – 1615 Fri 0730 – 1230 with possible overtime
Local Rate of pay £20.10 per hour PAYE Overtime
Travelling Rate of pay £28.10 per hour PAYE Overtime rates (candidates located 35 miles from site)

Suitable candidates will have a good understanding of safe systems of work including electrical work, confined spaces, working at height and RN specific safety operations.
In addition, a basic knowledge of mechanical systems and associated equipment is required.
Candidates must be flexible to undertake tasks across any trade discipline as required.
Must be prepared to work in a team to provide a high quality service to meet customer expectations.
Successful contractors will need to achieve BPSS and SC, and there are also ITAR restrictions therefore British Nationals only need apply.
Based in HM Naval base Portsmouth in support of Royal Navy, RFA and commercial vessels employed as an industrial electrical fitter. Personnel must have a deep understanding of electrical work and be able to carry out the various techniques used in ship repair and support industry.
