Job Title: Electrical Fitter

Location: St Helens

Salary: £28k DOE

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm (3:30pm finish on Fridays)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Fitter to join a growing manufacturing business in St Helens. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a clean, modern workshop for a company specialising in vehicle conversions, installations, and fleet solutions. The business has a strong order book and offers excellent support and career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run wiring looms through vehicles.
  • Terminate and connect cables to electrical systems (lights, beacons, reversing cameras, etc.).
  • Perform splicing, trunking, soldering, and general electrical installation.
  • Fit subframes, bodies, and equipment to commercial vehicle chassis.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and fitting instructions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment to deliver high‑quality installations.
  • Install hydraulic and electrical components, ensuring correct alignment.
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets company and client standards.
  • Work as part of a small, supportive team in a busy workshop environment.
