Electrical Field Service & Maintenance Engineer
Location: Remote (UK-wide travel required - Mainly South England)
Reports to: Technical Services Manager
Role Overview

We’re seeking a practical, hands‑on Electrical Field Service & Maintenance Engineer to join this team, providing installation, service, and maintenance support of tinting machines across the UK and Europe.

This role will suit someone with strong mechanical and electro‑mechanical skills, ideally from an engineering, service, or maintenance background. You’ll be responsible for the repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of tinting equipment, ensuring machines operate efficiently and to a high standard.

Comprehensive training will be provided on our equipment and systems, including full certification at their partner facility in Italy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain tinting and mixing machines at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on machines.
  • Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance visits.
  • Respond to breakdowns and ensure timely repairs with minimal disruption.
  • Build and assemble new machines prior to installation.
  • Upgrade and refurbish existing machines as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and parts usage.
  • Occasionally assist with IT‑related elements of machine setup (software updates, database connections, printer installations) – training will be provided.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong mechanical or electro‑mechanical engineering background (e.g. service, maintenance, installation).
  • Competent in fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Basic understanding of PC/Windows setup beneficial (training provided).
  • Excellent customer‑facing and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Flexible and willing to travel extensively across the UK and occasionally Europe.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Valid UK passport.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK (Mainly Southern England) and Europe.
  • Overnight stays required as needed.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willing to work occasional out‑of‑hours or overnight stays when required.

Location
