Job description
The Role

Senior Technician - Electrical

Annual Salary: up to £42500
Location: Basingstoke with travel to local offices
Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for a Senior Technician - Electrical to oversee and support our Fabric Technicians in managing and maintaining our Offices and Estate. This role is crucial in ensuring that our electrical systems are maintained safely and efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role
  • Oversee and support the Workplace Technicians in the management and maintenance of the estate.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for Technicians, managing their workload and ensuring routine maintenance is completed both internally and externally at a high level.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise on electrical works, perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical issues, and carry out installations.
  • Support the Workplace Manager in delivering regular training, knowledge sharing, and ensuring that third‑party contractors are supervised appropriately.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Electrician, with the ability to create and review scopes of work.
  • Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or training programme in electrical installation, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection and Testing).
  • Clear and confident communication skills with both colleagues and external contractors.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and produce reports.
  • Full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 year's experience.
