Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in the UK is seeking a Facilities Engineer (Electrical) for its new £250 million, state‑of‑the‑art Bicester site. You will maintain critical electrical infrastructure, support the installation of DryCool technology, and help ensure safe, reliable facility services that enable world‑class manufacturing and healthcare advancement.

This hands‑on role combines planned maintenance, reactive fault finding, project support and contractor supervision.

Qualifications

• Apprentice training with City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification.
• City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing qualification (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building services and infrastructure up to 415 V.
• Experience with life safety systems, CCTV and access control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support site electrical infrastructure in line with BS7671 and safety best practices.
• Assist design, review and implement electrical improvements to meet evolving needs.
• Monitor building systems via BMS and identify reliability improvements.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance via CMMS.
• Record maintenance activities to support KPI reporting.
• Be a key contact for facilities-related concerns from staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring safety and quality.
• Raise permits and support safe systems of work for contractor activities.
• Manage procurement: raise orders and process invoices.
• Maintain spare parts inventory to minimise downtime.
• Build relationships across the business to minimise disruption.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support wider facilities, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Participate in on-call rota for critical breakdowns.
