Job summary

Interlink Lighting & Electrical in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team. You will prepare, price, and submit tenders for electrical installation and refurbishment projects, with a strong focus on cost control and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of estimating experience in the electrical sector, holds a UK driving licence, and can analyse drawings and specs using estimating software and Office tools.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical estimating knowledge for electrical installation & refurbishment work.
• Must have cost control measures and ability to analyse project specifications effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers and clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour and overheads.
• Analyse drawings, specs and documentation to prepare tender estimates.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and clients.
• Monitor project costs to ensure adherence to budget.
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and adjust estimates.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management review.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates and documentation.
