Your new role

As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a key role in the tendering and design development process. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical systems, collaborating with design and project teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and commercially viable. This role offers the chance to influence projects from early concept through to delivery.

Key duties include
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and client briefs to produce detailed cost estimates.
  • Supporting the design process with cost‑effective input and value engineering.
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
  • Presenting proposals to clients and supporting bid submissions.
  • Assisting project teams with budget tracking and cost control.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in a design and build environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and current regulations.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Amtech, Trimble, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or building services.
