Job summary

Engenda Group is seeking an Electrical Estimating Manager to lead our Runcorn estimating team. You will oversee tenders and bids for energy, chemical, utilities, renewables and major infrastructure projects, coordinating workload and setting estimating standards.

We require an electrical engineering or instrumentation degree, substantial estimating experience in industrial EPC settings, and strong knowledge of HV/LV systems.

Qualifications

  • Electrical/Instrumentation engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Significant estimating experience in industrial engineering, construction, maintenance, or EPC environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and industrial installations.
  • Experience pricing multidisciplinary industrial projects from minor works to major capital projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of NEC contracts.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of COMAH, ATEX, CDM Regulations, and industrial safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the electrical estimating function from feasibility through to EPC/EPCm opportunities, allocating workload across the team.
  • Set estimating strategies and standards, maintaining estimating data and benchmarks to ensure consistent, competitive bids.
  • Review and approve estimates covering labour, materials, subcontract packages, equipment, construction costs, pricing schedules and BoQs, ensuring sound technical and commercial assumptions.
  • Manage costs, quotations and risk, challenging supplier and subcontractor pricing and identifying commercial and value engineering opportunities.
  • Work with clients, project teams and senior management through tender meetings, site visits and clarifications.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the estimating team, supporting performance and resource planning across the department.

Are you looking to lead an Electrical Estimating department, a permanent role where you can oversee a department? Have you hit the ceiling where you are? Are you looking to step up, with the chance to take the reins and take control? Engenda Group are looking for an Electrical Estimating Manager to join our core Runcorn estimating team. You will be working within a small but dedicated team of estimators, working on tenders and bids for work in the energy, chemical, utilities, renewables and major infrastructure industries. Hours: 40 + flexi time. Salary: £73,000. Car allowance / Company Car.

You Will
  • Lead and manage the electrical estimating function from feasibility through to EPC/EPCm opportunities, allocating workload across the team.

To Be Successful, You Will Have
  • A Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Significant estimating experience within industrial engineering, construction, maintenance, or EPC environments.
  • A Strong knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and industrial installations.
  • Experience pricing multidisciplinary industrial projects ranging from minor works to major capital projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract forms such as NEC.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of COMAH, ATEX, CDM Regulations, and industrial safety standards
