Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting an Electrical Bias Estates Manager for Gartnavel Hospital Estates Department. You will provide technical expertise to support operation and maintenance across hospital sites and clinics, ensuring safe, compliant estates services and an effective on-call response.

The role involves managing workloads, supervising teams, and delivering improvements within health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in an engineering or building-related core trade.
• Degree-level qualification in an Engineering or Building discipline.
• Electrical bias and relevant technical knowledge within an estates environment.
• Willingness to undertake specialist and refresher training for the post.

Responsibilities

• Implement Estates Maintenance in line with NHS GG&C requirements and policies.
• Assist supervisors with day-to-day workloads and priorities, with site responsibility beyond normal hours.
• Support operational maintenance and emergency response across electrical, mechanical and building fabric services.
