Job summary

Octavius Infrastructure Ltd. invites motivated electrical engineering students to join an eight-week summer placement in 2027. The role blends site and office work, giving hands-on exposure to installation, testing and commissioning on real infrastructure projects.

You will work with experienced professionals, develop practical technical and professional skills, and explore future opportunities within Octavius, including possible Year in Industry placements or a Graduate Scheme.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Available to complete an eight-week placement commencing in June or July 2027.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required to support our projects.
• Ideally, holder of a full UK driving licence due to the site-based nature of the placement.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with the safe and efficient installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Assist with electrical engineering activities and project documentation.
• Gain practical experience across site and office-based environments.
• Work alongside Site Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers and Engineering Managers.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
