Job summary

AWE Aldermaston in Reading area is offering a Level 6 Electrical Engineering (Facilities & Equipment) Degree Apprentice. You will learn to look after electrical systems that keep critical facilities running safely and reliably, focusing on maintaining and improving equipment while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

An interest in electrical engineering and how electrical systems work
The ability to think logically and work through information step by step
Confidence using maths to understand and solve problems
A structured approach to solving problems
Curiosity about how large engineering systems are installed, maintained and improved
Working with engineering drawings and associated software

Responsibilities

Learn how electrical systems are kept safe, reliable, ready to use and fit for the future
Work with experienced engineers who maintain and improve electrical infrastructure across AWE
Build practical experience in areas such as asset lifecycle management and reliability improvement
