Job summary

Sweco is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide electrical engineering input across Anglian Water projects in the AMP8 program. You will design LV installations, specify assemblies and review contractor designs while coordinating with the construction team and utilities.

The role supports a flexible, hybrid working pattern with opportunities for professional growth and a broad range of benefits as part of Sweco’s engineering team in the UK.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
  • Strong Electrical Engineering background.
  • Willingness to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to solve complex problems.
  • Experience in the Water Industry is beneficial.
  • Full UK driving licence required for site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems with drawings and data sheets.
  • Design LV Assemblies such as MCCs and control panels with specifications.
  • Review LV electrical designs produced by framework contractors.
  • Liaise with construction teams, suppliers, and utility companies on technical issues.
  • Specify and select instrumentation based on process design.

Position: Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll provide Electrical Engineering technical input to projects in the Anglian Water region.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems, including particular specifications, schedules, data sheets and drawings.
  • Design and specify LV Assemblies, including particular specifications, schedules, data sheets and drawings (e.g. MCC, LV Switchboards and Control Panels).
  • Review LV electrical designs produced by framework contractors (e.g. electrical schematics, cable calculations and termination diagrams).
  • Liaise with others on technical issues, the construction team, operations, suppliers, and utility companies.
  • Specify and select instrumentation based on the process design.
About You

You will ideally have:

  • Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
  • Strong Electrical Engineering background.
  • Willingness to be collaborative and work with a multi-disciplinary team, solving complex problems together.
  • Experience in the Water Industry is an advantage.
  • As site visits will be required, you will need a full UK driving licence.
