This full-time, permanent role involves providing maintenance and engineering support in a data centre environment, with a 5-week rotating shift pattern. The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and have strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills. Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline).
  • LVAP or HVAP authorisation is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of building services and statutory compliance.

Electrical Engineer- Shifts

Location: Peterborough
Salary: £43,000 - £46,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Shift Pattern: 5-week rotating pattern (12-hour shifts)

Up to 29 weeks off a year.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide maintenance and engineering support within a busy data centre environment. The role covers both electrical and mechanical disciplines, delivering planned and reactive maintenance to ensure reliable operation of all site equipment.

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and installations.
  • Deliver PPM and reactive tasks to meet service and compliance standards.
  • Complete accurate reports and documentation for all work undertaken.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to all H&S procedures.
  • Liaise with contractors and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Shift Pattern (5-Week Cycle)
  • Week 1: 4 nights on, 3 off
  • Week 2: 3 days, 1 off, 3 nights
  • Week 3: 3 off, 4 days
  • Week 4: 1 off, 3 days, 3 off
  • Week 5: 7 off
About You- Electrical Engineer
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline).
  • LVAP or HVAP authorisation is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of building services and statutory compliance.
  • Strong fault-finding, decision-making, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and communicate effectively.
