Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Chartered Electrical Engineer to contribute to rail and infrastructure projects. You will join the MEP team and work on multi-disciplinary design, supporting energy efficient solutions and project milestones.

Based in Manchester, this role offers collaboration with HS2, Network Rail and LU clients, with opportunities to develop professionally through Chartership and a supportive, inclusive culture.

• Problem solving skills.

• Chartered engineer status.
• Electrical Building services experience in Rail or similar projects.

Responsibilities

• Work on multi-disciplinary Infrastructure / Rail projects.
• Contribute to energy efficient Electrical design.
• Collaborate with industry expert colleagues on various projects.
• Work on Rail projects mainly with HS2, Network Rail and LU clients.
• Be part of the MEP team consisting of 70 members across levels.
• Support project milestones and ensure timely delivery.
• Engage with contractors on detail design through to testing and handover.

• Working on multi-disciplinary Infrastructure / Rail projects
• Opportunity to contribute and develop energy efficient and sustainable Electrical design
• Opportunity to work with industry expert colleagues on various projects
• Opportunity to works on all size and stages of the projects
• Working on Rail projects mainly with HS2, Networkrail and LU clients
• Working as part of the MEP team whcih consists of 70 team members of all levels
• Working as part of a very professional and supportive team.
• Ensure project milestones are met.
• Problem solving and working in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Work with industry leading Contractors on Detail design and take the project to final Testing, Commissioning and Handover phase.
• This role report to Technical Director – MEP
