Electrical Engineer - Mission Critical

HDR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop detailed electrical systems for various projects, including Data Centers, commercial Offices, mixed-use developments, industrial, and healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will carry out detailed design and calculations in accordance with industry guides, assist in preparing specifications, reports, and drawings, and become an integral part of the design team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks and drawing production on data centre and other projects.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs smoothly into overall projects.
• Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
• Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems, and devices.

Required Qualifications

• BEng, MSc, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or relevant subject.
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience in Electrical Design.
• Electrical design experience working on Data Center/Data Centre/Mission Critical projects is essential.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, and Revit.
