Electrical Engineer

As a Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias at JLL, you will be part of a team that shapes a brighter future for our client Rolls‑Royce and its employees. You will apply your expertise to design, install, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Your work will directly impact the comfort and efficiency of our clients’ spaces, supporting JLL’s commitment to optimal work environments.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of low‑voltage electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
- Conduct regular testing and inspection of low‑voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes, and complete necessary documentation and reports.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in low‑voltage electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques, and carry out repairs and replacements as needed.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime, increase system reliability, and extend the lifespan of low‑voltage electrical systems, and create and maintain maintenance schedules.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, comply with electrical regulations and standards, and report hazards or incidents promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction, and provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders, and equipment inventory, and ensure that relevant documentation and records are up to date.
Requirements
- C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection certificate)
- 18th edition of relevant standards
- Strong electrical and HVAC experience
- Knowledge of heating and air‑conditioning systems
- Knowledge of building fabric and experience in carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting health & safety obligations related to maintenance activities
- Must be prepared to work out of hours when required
- On call one week in five (allowance paid), JLL transport provided
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Positive "can do" attitude
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
