Job summary

A facilities management company is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a full-time position in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems, performing preventative and reactive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently are key. This role offers a competitive salary of £42k and a structured working schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience within Facilities Management in an electrical engineering role.
  • Strong background in electrical maintenance and PPMs on commercial or industrial sites.
  • Confident working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritise workload, and manage tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults across building services and site equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with compliance, safety standards, and FM processes.
  • Act as the main on-site representative, liaising with the client and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting as required.
  • Support wider FM operations and escalate issues when necessary.
