A leading engineering company in the UK is seeking an Electrical Crane Engineer for a field-based position. You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of cranes while supporting installations and upgrades. The ideal candidate will have electrical and mechanical skills, alongside an HNC in Electrical Engineering. Competitive salary ranging from £37,000 to £42,000 plus overtime potential and a company pension scheme included.

Qualifications

  • Apprentice-trained engineer with electrical and mechanical skills.

Electrical Crane Engineer – Field Based

We are looking for an Electrical Crane Engineer to join a busy service team working across Yorkshire and the M62 corridor. You will be conducting service, maintenance and repair work on cranes and lifting equipment, as well as helping with new installations and upgrades. Ideally you will be based within 45 minutes of Sheffield.

Salary and Package
  • Basic salary circa £37,000 to £42,000 per year depending on experience
  • Regular overtime available with OTE £60,000 plus

The Role of Electrical Crane Engineer - Crane
  • Carrying out LOLER inspections and planned maintenance
  • Service and repair work on cranes and hoists
  • Attending breakdowns and providing fast, effective solutions
  • Supporting new crane installations and upgrades
  • Working on modernisation projects including anti-sway and collision avoidance systems
What We Are Looking For
  • Apprentice-trained engineer with electrical and mechanical skills
  • HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • IPAF scissor lift licence – essential
  • LEEA qualifications desirable but training will be provided
  • Willing to work at heights and physically fit
  • Positive attitude, keen to learn and interested in new technology
