Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the test, assembly and electrical installation of new machinery. You will be involved in electrical building and testing of industrial equipment, wiring systems, and on-site installation tasks.

The role requires reading schematics, wiring, and testing motors, sensors and actuators, plus experience with PLCs, HMIs and VFDs. NVQ Level 3+ in Electrical Engineering is preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Background in machine wiring or industrial electrical assembly.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring documentation.

Responsibilities

• Electrical building & testing of industrial machinery.
• Machine wiring and functional testing.
• Wire & connect electrical systems on machinery - motors, sensors, actuators, interconnectors.
• Carry out functional testing - input/output checks, basic fault finding prior to commissioning.
• Assist in verifying signal paths of PLCs / HMIs before software upload.
• Read and work from electrical schematics and layout drawings.
• Support additional factory installation tasks when needed.

Join a leading design and manufacturer of full turnkey projects for food processing & packaging machinery. Due to further growth within the business, they are looking for an electrical engineer to support the test, assembly and electrical installation of new machinery.

Role & Responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer:

• Electrical building & testing of industrial machinery
• Machine wiring and functional testing
• Wire & connect electrical systems on machinery - motors, sensors, actuators, internconnectors
• Carry out functional testing - input/output checks, basic fault finding prior to commissioning
• Assist in verifying signal paths of PLC's / HMi's before software upload
• Read and work from electrical schematics and layout drawings

Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be an Electrical Engineer:
