Job summary

JLL in Rotherham is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, install, and maintain low voltage electrical systems within commercial and industrial settings. You will support Rolls-Royce and local teams, ensuring safe, reliable operation and documentation of maintenance activities.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with contractors. A UK driving license and willingness to work out of hours are essential for on-site delivery.

Qualifications

  • C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (Or Equivalent).
  • C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred).
  • 18th edition.
  • Strong Electrical & HVAC experience.
  • Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Knowledge of building fabric and basic fabric repairs when required.
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety obligations during maintenance.
  • Must be prepared to work out of hours when required.
  • On call one in five weeks (allowance paid), JLL transport provided.
  • Have good communication and organisation skills.
  • Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Must have a full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work on own or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of low voltage electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
  • Testing and Inspection: Conduct regular testing and inspection of low voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes. Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately.
  • Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve faults in low voltage electrical systems, using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques. Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime, increase system reliability, and extend the lifespan of low voltage electrical systems. Create and maintain maintenance schedules.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Comply with electrical regulations, codes, and standards to ensure safety and minimize risks.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction. Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders, and equipment inventory.

Electrical Engineer

Based - Rotherham, South Yorkshire. S60 (on client site Rolls-Royce)

Hours: 40hrs Monday - Friday

What your day-to-day will look like:
