Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

  • Read and execute end-to-end electrical design processes, including analog, digital, and FPGA development, schematic capture, PCB layout, hardware testing, and transition to manufacturing.
  • Perform thorough design validation and verification, including Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) and DO-160G environmental qualification testing, to ensure product reliability and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain all necessary engineering documentation, such as test protocols, HALT reports, and qualification documentation, in accordance with industry standards.
  • Serve as the technical electrical lead on assigned projects, ensuring designs align with customer requirements, internal engineering standards, and cross-functional team objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement by researching, proposing, and implementing design enhancements focused on manufacturability, durability, and product robustness in collaboration with the sustaining engineering team.

Electrical Engineer Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
  • 3-10+ years of experience in a previous position - Electrical Engineer / FPGA Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer
  • Experience guiding and developing units covering an entire cycle from concept to manufacturing release
  • Experience with microprocessor and/or DSP based designs
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout, with specific experience using OrCAD Capture and Allegro PCB Designer, or similar EDA toolsets (OrCAD/Allegro required)
  • FPGA/ASIC design experience
  • Experience with network/Ethernet design
  • Commutable or based to Addison, TX
