Electrical Engineer – London Wall – £42,000 – £45,000

An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled Electrical Engineer to take charge of the day-to-day maintenance of a corporate commercial site based in the London Wall area. As the sole engineer on site, you’ll have full ownership of the building’s electrical systems while acting as the main technical contact for the client.

This position suits a confident, self‑motivated engineer who enjoys working independently, taking responsibility, and building strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver both scheduled and reactive electrical maintenance across the building
  • Maintain and fault‑find on lighting systems, power supplies, distribution boards, and emergency lighting
  • Carry out minor installation works and small remedial repairs
  • Assist with basic mechanical and fabric tasks where required
  • Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations and statutory standards
  • Keep site logbooks, service reports, and compliance records up to date
  • Provide a professional, customer‑focused service through regular client interaction
  • Take full accountability for the site’s daily technical performance

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Solid experience within commercial building maintenance
  • Comfortable working alone as the sole onsite engineer
