Job summary

A leading kitchen manufacturer in the UK is seeking a Maintenance Technician with a strong background in electrical engineering. You will perform maintenance tasks, ensure minimal production downtime, and contribute to improvements. Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Experience in a similar electrical function is ideal.

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Provide rapid response to breakdowns.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for problems.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Provide rapid and professional response to breakdowns.
  • Fault finding including PLC, trouble shooting, repairing and maintaining equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to enure minimum lost production time.
  • Perform high quality root‑cause analysis for technical and process problems.
  • Support, suggest and implement improvements (Safety, Technology, Process).
  • Utilise the CMMS system to record all works (Shire System).
  • To proactively work towards the continued success of the business with a can‑do attitude.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Engineering (Required)
  • 18th Edition with valid IEE regulations (Desirable)
  • Experience in a similar electrical function and industrial environment, ideally in the woodworking industry/FMCG
  • Understanding of PLC systems
  • An ability to work well under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Continuous improvement attitude.
